Good progress. I see lots of people counting words..I am just working on quality, not quantity..

Thanks, Pam! I think with regard to word count, the point is more in maintaining a measurable goal than it is in hitting a specific number of words. One of my friends has a goal to write for an hour per day, regardless of word count. And that is good -- it's what works for her, and I applaud all forward motion. Too, while some can spend a significant amount of time creating quality work, for some {read: ME} that would be an exercise in procrastination via perfectionism. My first three chapters are quite excellent; that's because I spent so much time on getting them right. Which is awesome! I'm proud of them! But I wasn't moving past what I had already produced. For me, I know I need to hit The End or else I will just keep going over the same ground. That's one of the most fabulous things about ROW80... the goals we set are personal and should reflect what we are working toward. My main goal is simply getting the entire story out. That's what matters most to me, because I know my shabby habits will hold me back. I admire those who are able to edit as they go while still moving along.
