Blogging AtoZ Challenge 2015

AtoZ Badge“The brainchild of , at Tossing it Out, the AtoZ Challenge is posting every day in April except Sundays (we get those off for good behavior.) And since there are 26 days, that matches the 26 letters of the alphabet.

On April 1, blog about something that begins with the letter “A.” April 2 is “B,” April 3 is “C,” and so on.

You can use a theme for the month or go random – just as long as it matches the letter of the alphabet for the day.”

Twitter hashtag is and Twitter id is

And be sure to check out , a Twitter list composed of individuals I have every intention of visiting during this year’s challenge.

The Great and Powerful AtoZ Challenge Theme Reveal Blogfest!

atoz-theme-reveal-2015“One of the most burning questions participants ask themselves every year is:

Should I have a theme?

Themes are not mandatory, but definitely fun. They let your visitors know what to expect, and help you create posts that line neatly up from A to Z.

They also have an added bonus:

They let you participate in a whole separate blogfest!”

There was some question as to whether or not I even wanted to participate in the AtoZ Challenge.

Sometimes Iwannashootmybrainsout RabbitQuite frankly, there still is.

I haven’t completed the exercise in the last several years. At least in 2014 I made it halfway through the alphabet. So that happened.

It seems kind of self-defeatist to sign up again.

And yet.

Here I am, signing up. Revealing my theme. Giving it another shot. Trying again. Beating my head against the same brick wall and hoping for different results.

Because one of my Personal Commandments is, “Don’t stop starting.” And also, “Every day can be Day #1.”

etc.

And, since February kicked my metaphorical arse, I have decided to dedicate the month of April to rebooting my anti-Depression, Andi-Beatification, SOP {Standard Operating Procedures}.

Based on the original Happiness Project by , I created my own personal Happiness Project several years ago. I occasionally reference it, but I think it’s time to pull it back out the box, shake it off, and give it a new coat of paint.

My AtoZ Challenge 2015 theme is:

The Happiness Project

I will update this “Landing Page” with all the links as I post throughout the month.

Very cool, indeed! I checked out your original Happiness Project post from a few years ago and I definitely think you made the right choice in bringing the project back to life!

Very nice theme idea...this is my 2nd year doing this..I am planning a theme... I just can't make up my mind ;) So i am just gonna wing it this year!

Working on a blogs for first few days of the challenge... Look forward to reading more

@AudreyKnight I find it helpful to have a theme, but lots of people just wing it, and they come up with some excellent material. So I'm betting you do great, which ever way you choose to go! Mostly it's about having fun, IMO, so if you're managing that bit, you are totally #winning! :)

This is my first year doing the challenge. I've been scrolling through other participants looking for fun blogs to follow. I am purposely looking outside of my own genre, animals. I stumbled upon your blog and laughed so hard I nearly pissed myself. I too am a sarcastic, potty-mouth when in my natural habitat. However, I'm also a civil servant and in uniform I can be quite obsequious. Your blog sounds like the voices in my head. I look forward to reading what you have to say. See you tomorrow!

@jaxdogmom I'm glad you only "nearly" pissed yourself, LMAO! I'd hate to be responsible for peepee stains! I think it's great you're looking outside your comfort zone. I read a ton of blogs in various genres and have learned so much {and, like you, laughed way too hard!}. Ain't the blogosphere grand? Thanks for the warm welcome, and I do hope our paths continue to cross! :)

I like your theme! Always nice to think of happiness things! This is my 3rd year doing the challenge; the 1st year I didn't have a theme and it was harder to come up with things (plus I was writing them the day they were due). Last year I had a theme and got things ready beforehand and it went a lot smoother :) Same with this year :)

Have fun with it and do the best you can to try to finish it :)

With a name like Koda Corgi Puppy, I'm very curious about what your theme is! Please share. I'm trying to avoid dog blogs -- considering that's mostly all I read and write -- but I'm willing to make an exception for a corgi puppy.

Andi Roo

@kodacorgipuppy Altho I chose a theme and planned the topics ahead, I still haven't ever progressed to the point where I'm writing ahead. I don't think it's in my DNA, haha! I admire those who are able. I just bet it goes more smoothly! I plan to get across the finish line this year, even if it means I'm limping over it a week later, LMAO! Time will tell... Thanks for the encouragement, tho! :)

@jaxdogmom aw, my sister just lost her corgi. He was much beloved and sorely missed by all of us. I'm not a big doggy person, but that guy -- that guy, ya know? xoxo

Hey, that's a great use of your existing material! I look forward to reading your posts.

@onehandtyping Thanks, John! I'm not so much interested in using old posts as I am in kicking myself into gear, haha! Clearly whatever I learned back then didn't stick, so I don't mind starting over if it means getting back on track. :)

I'm doing A-to-Z again this year! Since I blog every freakin' day anyway, my only problem is sticking to a theme. So I'm shouldering that problem this year: Character Voices. Every day (except Saturday and Sunday), a character from one of my books or stories will blog. My cats blog on Caturday, and they won't give that up. I'm looking forward to your posts and I do hope they make you happy!

Andi Roo
Andi Roo 5pts

@MarianAllen You know, you don't actually "HAVE" to do a theme, if you don't wanna! Altho I do like the idea of Character Voices. That looks to be pretty cool. I did a writing theme last year as well, but I only stuck it out thru the letter "M" haha! And yeah, don't give up your Caturdays! :)
